From EcoVadis to climate risk: A global research organisation
The Challenge
Clients are asking harder questions about ESG credentials. A global CRO with approximately 3,500 employees across 55 countries and 34 sites needs the infrastructure to answer them. No formal sustainability policies. No EcoVadis documentation. No climate risk framework. No emissions baseline.
Project Objectives

Build a credible EcoVadis documentation infrastructure so the company can respond to client ESG qualification requirements.

Understand the physical and transition climate risks the company faces across its 55 country global footprint before investors and clients make those questions unavoidable.

Establish a full Scope 1 to 3 GHG emissions baseline to anchor future reduction targets and climate commitments.

01
EcoVadis assessment completion
We built the company's entire EcoVadis policy infrastructure from scratch: 14 documents across all four EcoVadis pillars. EcoVadis reassessment support, launched in September 2025, continues to build on this foundation for the next cycle.

Climate Risk Assessment
We ran a TCFD aligned physical and transition risk assessment across the company's full global footprint. We delivered a structured TCFD Index providing visibility of climate exposure across all 55 countries.

Corporate Carbon Footprint Assessment
We launched a GHG Protocol and ISO 14064 aligned corporate carbon footprint programme covering Scope 1 to 3. Scope 1 covers vehicle fleet and on site energy. Hotspot findings, KPI metrics and reduction recommendations are in delivery.
Key Outcomes
The client has a sustainability programme that continues to evolve across all three workstreams. EcoVadis improvement cycles, climate risk disclosure and carbon reduction commitments are all in motion.
EcoVadis foundation built from scratch
The scorecard confirmed measurable improvement against the baseline. EcoVadis Reassessment support is underway. The next cycle builds on a stronger foundation.
Risk mapped across countries
TCFD Index delivered for all 55 countries. The company now has a structured, board ready view of its climate exposure for the first time.
Emissions baseline
Full GHG inventory in delivery across 34 sites. Scope 1, 2 and 3 covered. Findings will anchor the company's first Science Based reduction targets.
