Case study

Crown International

The Challenge
Crown International supplies operational equipment and amenities to international hotel chains. When major clients increasingly began asking for EcoVadis scores as part of their supplier requirements, Crown had to act. Sustainability practices were already in place, but no process was documented, structured or quantifiable, and their carbon footprint was unknown.

Project Objectives

01
Formalise Crown International's sustainability approach, translating existing practices into documented, verifiable commitments.
02
Achieve an EcoVadis score meeting the procurement requirements of its major international hotel chain clients.
03
Establish a verified Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions baseline and identify the most material opportunities for reduction and supply chain engagement.

Key Outcomes

Nexio Projects delivered support resulting in EcoVadis Platinum, as well as a full GHG inventory across scopes.
EcoVadis Platinum medal
Crown International progressed from Bronze to Platinum in two years of structured work. A formal appeal upgraded the result to 88 out of 100, exceeding the requirements of its major hotel chain clients.
Complete emissions picture
Crown International now holds a verified Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon footprint. The inventory confirmed that 99.88% of emissions sit in Scope 3, pointing directly to where the biggest opportunities for supply chain engagement lie.
Sustainability embedded in operations
An environmental policy, ethics framework and supplier questionnaire are now part of daily operations. Crown International can substantiate its sustainability performance to any client or auditor, at any time.
Testimonials

What our client says

“They asked the right questions and set up a practical approach plan we could follow. Eventually we did quite some work ourselves, but with the tools they gave us. That made the job much easier and more professional. We couldn't have done that on our own.”
