Ongoing project

Post carve out ESG programme for a global high voltage  equipment manufacturer

The Challenge
Following a corporate carve out, a global manufacturer of high voltage equipment is building its ESG function from scratch. The PE owner expects investor grade sustainability infrastructure. Enterprise customers are requesting ESG performance data. Regulatory timelines are converging. With near zero internal capability and no baseline to build from, every work stream starts at zero.

Project Objectives

01
Give the PE owner and executive committee a sustainability foundation they can defend to investors and customers.
02
Build a documented GHG baseline and climate risk register before the next customer, investor or regulatory audit.
03
Build supply chain compliance and ESG reporting capability the internal team can own and scale without ongoing external support.

Nexio Projects’ Solution

01
Sustainability strategy and roadmap
We translated the company's double materiality assessment into a five pillar sustainability strategy with concrete initiatives and measurable KPIs. We mapped a five phase journey from compliance to purpose-driven, anchored in sector benchmarking, regulation and customer requirements, with the roadmap now actively guiding the internal team's annual planning.
02
Carbon Footprint Assessment and decarbonisation plan
We delivered the company's first group wide Scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG inventory across 12 sites, with fully documented methodology. We then built a science aligned decarbonisation pathway together with the full climate risk layer.
03
Climate Risk Assessment (TCFD)
We screened approximately 35 climate hazards under two IPCC warming scenarios. The result: a TCFD ready climate risk register the team can update annually.
04
Supply chain ESG risk assessment and due diligence toolkit
We risk assessed the top 50 critical suppliers and built a REACH, CBAM and CSDDD compliance framework. We delivered a scalable due diligence toolkit including audit templates, ESG questionnaires, a KPI dashboard and governance structure.
05
Sustainability reporting and EcoVadis preparation
We drafted the company's first investor grade sustainability report with TCFD disclosure and VSME indicator scaffolding. We also completed a full EcoVadis gap analysis and internal capability programme.

Key Outcomes

The client has a sustainability programme that continues to serve PE owner expectations, customer ESG requirements and expanding regulatory obligations. Every output is documented for independent use over the long term.
