I’m Ron Vannan, and I work at i-team Global, a Dutch international manufacturer of professional cleaning equipment. We started with the i-mop, recognizing that over 70% of the global cleaning market is still cleaned manually. For us, that was an opportunity to transform the daily reality of cleaning operators—and drive sustainability at the same time.
In our early years with Nexio Projects, we began simply—building on our existing EcoVadis rating. From there, we realized we needed to take control of broader sustainability elements. That included setting clear climate ambitions, starting with a GHG inventory (Scopes 1 & 2), and evolving toward more structured sustainability reporting—something our customers increasingly expect from their suppliers.
Nexio Projects has been instrumental in helping us professionalize our approach, integrating sustainability across departments and processes. Their team is forward-thinking, proactive, and always at the cutting edge—which is exactly the kind of partner we needed. Otherwise, we could have tried to do it alone, but it wouldn’t have been nearly as impactful.
Ultimately, sustainability is no longer separate from business—it’s how we view all our activities through the lens of non-financial value. I believe every business role today should include an element of sustainability.
